How it works
PG25 gives freeze protection to around −10 °C, biological resistance and corrosion protection while keeping heat transfer close to water. The Open Compute Project publishes guidelines for propylene-glycol fluids in liquid-cooled racks. Inhibitor packages differ between products, so the fluid must match the server OEM's coolant specification and must not be mixed with another formulation.
